you wouldn't think it would take all this for a 2 hour movie

so, a lot to catch up on...
friday (a week ago today) was our first day of shooting in clarksdale. wow.
call time was 3 a.m. for a lot of people, but i didn't get to clarksdale until about 8 a.m.
it was like nothing i have ever seen before.
after streets were blocked off, caterers arrived, extras were dressed, rehearsals wrapped, lots of coffee (& diet coke if your me), and after months of paper work and prep, blood, sweat, and tears... i had my hand on the back of tate's chair when he said action for the very first time.
to be around kitty (kathryn stockett, the author of the book), tate, and our entire team, to watch this come to life is absolutely amazing. hard work, but amazing.

please continue to pray for me and the people i work with, that the Lord would show himself in very radical ways. and for me, that the Lord will open doors for me, and that i would be obedient to his will.

better than rapids on the reservior

my WONDERFUL cousin, paul, is so creative and built this slip and slide.
so, on saturday we spent ALL DAY at the creek and had a blast.
i am blessed to have such a wonderful family and great friends.

a little acting lesson...

yesterday i received a call from the dialect coach to meet her at the hotel.

for what you ask?
to read the entire script as skeeter while she recorded me.
she wants emma stone (who is playing skeeter) to be able to listen to her lines being said with a "true" southern accent.
so fun.

then, as we walked downstairs, the twins, who are playing mae mobley, had just arrived! so, i got to play with them for a while, they are precious and i know they will do a great job, they are FULL of personality!

my grandparent's house has been vacant for about 5 years now and my grandmother is so sweet and is letting me live there, so.... i have my own house!!
i am having a blast fixing it up in my free time.
